Start With The Build Need

Artifacts are build pieces used with Orbs to shape hero ability and playstyle choices. Where orbs sit close to skill customization, artifacts add a separate effect layer — for example, an active tactical tool that the player activates during a match.

May 2026 beta examples show artifacts as placed abilities, position swaps, shields or counterattacks. These examples are active tools, so artifact choices can affect when and where you use a build’s extra effect.

Artifact Examples

The table below shows known May 2026 beta examples. Treat these as examples of what artifacts can do, not as a complete pool or as recommended picks.

ArtifactEffect
Magic Top HatSwitch places with an ally, redirect enemies targeting that ally to the user, and grant the user a shield.
Mirror of ReversalPlaced artifact that blocks incoming attacks and returns them as a mystical blast.

Artifact Boxes In The May Beta

During the May 2026 beta, Artifact Boxes worked as beta-only reward containers. Each Artifact Box presented 3 artifact options and let the player choose 1. These boxes appeared alongside Orb Boxes and Trophy Boxes in the beta reward system.

All beta box types are exclusive to the beta and will not exist in the official game.

PvP Context

Artifact charges behave differently across PvP modes. In Control and Escort, artifact charges are halved with a 3-minute cooldown. Assault uses regular artifact charges. Check the PvP Modes page for the full comparison before building artifacts for a specific mode.
