Start With The Hero

Orbs are build pieces tied to skill customization. Use them when the build question starts with a hero skill setup rather than a generic stat check.

The first question is always “which hero am I building?”, not “which orb has the highest number?” That matters even more during beta box testing because Orb Boxes give one option for the hero you are currently using.

Orb Boxes In The May Beta

During the May 2026 beta, Orb Boxes worked as beta-only reward containers. Each Orb Box presented 3 orb options and let the player choose 1. One option was guaranteed to be for the hero the player was currently using, which made testing relevant orbs faster.

Orb Boxes appeared alongside Artifact Boxes and Trophy Boxes in the beta reward system. All three box types are exclusive to the beta and will not exist in the official game.

How To Think About Orbs

Use orbs to answer these build questions:

  1. Which hero am I building? Start from the hero kit before looking at any orb choice.
  2. Which skill setup needs help? Compare orbs by the part of the hero kit you are trying to improve for the mode.
  3. Does the orb work with the rest of the build? Check that the orb change does not conflict with your artifact or trophy choices.

How To Read Orb Advice

Orb advice is only useful when it names the hero, mode and test window behind the recommendation. A good orb note should tell you which hero skill setup it supports and why that matters in the mode you are playing.

Treat exact orb numbers from beta as context, not as a finished best-in-slot list. Start with the hero, then compare any orb recommendation against your current PvP or PvE goal.
