Start With Access

Drakantos is listed on Steam as Coming soon, and the most recent beta window covered here ran May 22-24, 2026 and has ended. Before planning a long session, open Current Version and confirm whether current access comes through Steam, a new playtest, or another announced window.

First Session Route

  1. Check the current status page.
  2. Open Heroes and choose one hero to learn first.
  3. Read Build System Overview so Orbs, Artifacts, Trophies and Equipment make sense together.
  4. Pick one mode path: PvP for arena rules or PvE Overview for quests, dungeons and bosses.
  5. Avoid treating any beta tier list as permanent until you know the mode and patch context behind it.

Choose One Hero First

Drakantos is built around playable heroes rather than one fixed class. Your first useful decision is not a full meta ranking; it is choosing a hero you can read clearly in movement, combat and mode objectives.

If you are unsure, use Hero Choice Guide and the Beta Hero Roster together. The roster gives the known May 2026 beta names, while the guide explains how to avoid overcommitting to early balance claims.

Learn Builds As A System

Build advice should start with the hero kit. After that, compare Orbs, Artifacts, Trophies and Equipment by what they change in a real mode. A PvP build and a boss-focused PvE build can value different things even when they use the same hero.

Pick PvP Or PvE

Use PvP when you need arena rules, maps, ranked context or hero picks. Use PvE Overview when the question is a quest, dungeon, boss, drop or PvE reward path.

Common Mistakes

  • Copying a tier list before checking the mode it was made for.
  • Reading a build without knowing which hero skill it changes.
  • Treating beta rewards or event windows as permanent.
  • Looking for codes before checking whether the game is using Twitch Drops, beta rewards or another reward path.
